I was so encouraged to read your blog. I especially benefited by your notes on dealing with the disabled. I have a daughter that is deaf. Thankfully, much of her hearing has been “restored” with cochlear implants. May God bless you as you study and serve. Let’s keep in touch and maybe play a few more games of golf. :-)

I’ve also just read your testimony above and have to say you have such a great way with words and what you want to convey. As a fellow Cerebal Palsy mate I related with your story. hi jason im in a mess and im facing a difficult time to such an extent that suicide is now attractive by through reading this i now strongly beleave that God shall help me and take out of this slimty pit and mud and mire in Jesus’s mighty name

Thanks for the comments, both of you. Paul, it is my prayer that God would enable his people to renounce the world’s standards, and embrace the humanity found in each person no matter how distorted it may be, in the ministry of reconciliation that God has entrusted to us in Christ. Praise God he has placed this on your heart.

G’day Jason,
Thanks for sharing your testimony. A couple of guys from our Church (Taree Pressies) were at the Forster breakfast and found your testimony both encouraging and challenging. We are currently thinking through how we as a church include people with disabilities, in particular how we encourage them to serve.

Hi Jason, I have a friend who has just come through great difficulties, with me by her side and sharing her pain. By the grace of God she is getting better and her “normal” will be different to what it was but she has relied on God and tried to be patient. She was used greatly to encourage and even bring a lady to Christ while in hospital. She, (along with me) will be encouraged by this. Ta L
